GARDAI in Cork are trying to establish the circumstances in which a 13-year-old schoolgirl died in the north side of the city at the weekend.
The teenager lived at Foyle Avenue in Knocknaheeny and was with friends at her home when, it is understood, she fell ill. She was rushed to hospital by ambulance while efforts were made by the crew to revive her.
She died a short time after having been admitted to the Mercy Hospital with a suspected heart attack.
Gardai in the city want to interview anyone who may have been in the girl's company and who may know anything of her movements prior to her death.
