Gardaí in Meath have arrested a man in his late 20s in relation to a shooting on Wednesday night in which one person was injured.
The man was detained this afternoon under section 30 of The Offences against The State Act and can be held for 72 hours.
A 28-year-old was injured in the shooting in a pub near Duleek, Co Meath, at around 10.55pm.
A number of shots were fired at the scene before the gunman made off in an SUV-type car that was driven by an accomplice. A loaded gun was recovered from the scene.
