Gardaí were called to Skerries Community College in Dublin yesterday after end-of-term celebrations got out of hand.
The school, in north Co Dublin, refused to comment on the incident, which marked the end of school for sixth-year students, who will sit their Leaving Cert exams next month.
It is understood that gardaí were called after school property was damaged and concerns were raised over the health and safety of staff and students. A number of students were sent home after the incident.
Messages on Facebook quoted a text from the school to parents that suggested the graduation event had been cancelled because of the damage caused but the school refused to comment.
