Gardaí investigating the disappearance of a man earlier this year are examining a wooded area in Co Wicklow, after the discovery of what appeared to be a body in a shallow grave there yesterday.
The body was discovered at Ballydonnell near Red Cross, Co Wicklow, at about 2.30pm.
Father of three Stephen O'Meara (26) of Rosehill, Wicklow, was last seen on August 6th in Wicklow Town.
A man in his 20ss who was arrested on December 21st in connection with the investigation is still in custody in Wicklow Garda station, detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007. His period of detention has been extended.
