GARDAÍ HAVE seized drugs with an estimated street value of €1.75 million in separate searches in Dublin and Cork over the weekend.
The largest find was in Dublin where gardaí seized drugs believed to be worth €1.5 million during a search in Clondalkin in the early hours of yesterday.
Some 108kgs of cannabis resin, estimated to be worth €800,000, was discovered in bushes on the Fonthill Road at about 5.15am, while 62kgs of cannabis herb, worth €750,000, was found in a van.
Separately, gardaí in Cork city seized 20,000 ecstasy tablets with an estimated value of more than €200,000 on Saturday.
