Gardaí have confirmed they are investigating an attack on Hugh McDowell, son of the Minister for Justice, Mr Michael McDowell.
It is understood that gardaí have questioned one youth and are looking to question two to three others.
The 14-year-old was the victim of an unprovoked attack last Wednesday at around 7 p.m. in the Rathgar area of Dublin.
Four teenagers set upon Hugh McDowell and beat him around the head. He managed to escape and raise the alarm.

Hugh is understood not to have suffered any major injury in the attack.
The gardaí were informed on Thursday.
