Gardaí in Co Louth are investigating an incident this morning in which shots were fired at a house in the Muirhevnamore area of Dundalk.
At least two shots were fired at the property at 6 a.m., causing damage to the front door.
No one was injured in the attack, and the motive is unclear.
A silver Audi car was spotted leaving the scene, which has been preserved for technical examination.
