Gardaí in Meath are investigating a bank robbery which occurred shortly before three o'clock this afternoon.
Two armed suspects, wearing motor cycle helmets, entered the Bank of Ireland branch in Dunshaughlin and threatened customers and staff with a shotgun and a knife. They then made off on a motorcycle with an undisclosed sum of money.
The motorcycle was later found a short distance away in College Park, Dunshaughlin, where the culprits are believed to have transferred to a green Toyota car from there.
One culprit is described as being five foot six inches with a thin face. He spoke with a Dublin accent.
There is no description of the other culprit.
