Gardaí investigating the murder of Wayne Zambra (21) who was shot dead in Dublin nearly two weeks ago have issued an appeal to a taxi driver who was in the area at the time to come forward.
Gardaí said they would like to speak to a male taxi driver who picked up a fare outside Morrissey's pub on Cork Street between the hours of 12.50am and 1.20am on the morning of Saturday 19th August.
Wayne Zambra from Lourdes Road, Maryland, Dublin 8 was shot as he sat in a dark coloured Honda car on Cameron Street in Kilmainham. Another man, who was with him at the time, suffered only minor injuries.
It is believed the pair had been socialising in a nearby bar before the gunman struck.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the incident room at Kevin Street Garda Station on 01-6669432.
