The Garda has identified the body of the girl (14) found dead in a field in Co Donegal this morning has that of Geraldine Chambers from the Lifford area.
A second girl (15) found unconscious close to the deceased is being treated at Letterkenny Hospital where her condition is described as stable
The Garda said foul play is not suspected and that there were no signs the girls had been assaulted.
The girls bodies were found in a field two miles from Lifford at about 10 a.m. The scene is being preserved for a technical examination and a post mortem it to be conducted to establish the exact cause of Ms Chamber's death.
