Gardaí in Limerick are continuing to question a man (18) over a fatal shooting in Moyross on Sunday evening.

The man was arrested yesterday afternoon and is being questioned under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act in Mayorstone Garda Station.

He can be held in custody for up to 72 hours.

Frankie Ryan (21), with an address Moyross, was shot at about 10.45pm on Sunday evening as he sat in a car at Pineview Gardens.

Another man who was in the car at the time of shooting escaped on foot.

Mr Ryan was known to gardaí. They believe his killing may have been part of a feud between rival gangs in the city.
