Gardai attempting to establish the identity of a youth in his mid-teens found unconscious and suffering serious injuries at a road junction in Tallaght yesterday morning have appealed for public assistance. He is described as being between 15-17 years, 5' 9" and of thin build. He was found at the junction between Old Bawn Road and Tallaght bypass at about 8.30 a.m. yesterday. He was brought to Tallaght Hospital, where his condition was last night said to be critical.
He was wearing a blue Nike jacket, Street Legal brand jeans, white and blue Nike runners, a black Nike sweatshirt and a T-shirt bearing the slogan "American Torch Trip".
Gardai say he may have worked in the Old Bawn area and is believed to have sustained his injuries after being struck by a vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact Tallaght gardai.
