Gardaí are looking for two men they want to question as part of their investigation into a serious assault in Dún Laoghaire.
A 20-year-old man from Dún Laoghaire remains in a critical condition in Beaumont Hospital due to the head injuries he received in the attack.
The man was socialising with friends in the town on St Patrick's Day but was attacked after 3am at Corrig Avenue near the junction with Main Street. Gardaí are seeking to interview a taxi driver who picked up two men at Glenageary Rd Lower between 3.15am and 03.45am on the night.
"The brown/wine taxi then drove to the Shanganagh Cliffs area of Shankill and both men possibly went into a house in Shankill," said a Garda spokeswoman. The scene of the assault was preserved for technical examination.
