Gardaí in north Dublin have seized cocaine with what they say is a potential street value of up to €1.5 million.
As part of what the Garda described as "an ongoing operation targeting serious crime" a premises in Swords was searched just before noon today by teams from the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Garda National Drugs Unit.
"A large quantity of cocaine was seized in the search and depending on the results of forensic analysis, may have a potential street value of up to 1.5 million," a Garda statement said.
"A man in his late 30s was arrested at the scene and is detained under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act at Balbriggan Garda station."
