Gardaí today made three separate drug seizures in counties Dublin and Cork which could have a potential street value of over €3,000,000.
In Cork a man in his 30s was arrested after gardaí seized cannabis with potential street value of up to €700,000 in Cork.
The drugs weighing 100 kilos were seized when a van was stopped and searched at Tower, Blarney, Co Cork.
The driver of the vehicle was and is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 2, Criminal Justice Act, 1996 at Gurranabraher Garda Station.
This afternoon during follow up searches gardaí at Anglesea Street recovered a further 250 kilos of cannabis resin with a potential street value of up to €2,500,000.
Earlier today in Dublin a man in his 20s was arrested after gardaí seized 2 kilos of heroin with an estimated street value of up to €400,000.
Gardaí seized the drugs and a quantity of cash shortly after 8am this morning from a flat in an inner city complex as part of an on going operation.
The man is being held under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act at Kevin Street Garda Station.
