THE vogue for tracking down new and interesting venues for fashion shows continues. Last month A Wear held its in the Dublin Fruit Market and yesterday menswear designer Pat McCarthy persuaded his, North Great George's Street neighbour Senator David Norris to turn his Georgian reception rooms into a catwalk for the designer's latest collection.
David, who returned from Prague the night before the show, was resplendent in one of Pat's most covetable winter suits - a charcoal herringbone velvet three piece with co ordinating charcoal crepe shirt.
The designer is slowly but very surely building up an impressive is reputation, Sting is a fan of his soft mohair sweaters and buys several through Pat's New York outlets, and Patrick Bergin likes his suits. Al, so, he is just back from a trip to Liberty's in London where his collection is being stocked for the first time.
