German industrial output rose a seasonally adjusted 0.4 per cent in November from October, and increased 4.9 per cent year-on-year when adjusted for the number of working days, the finance ministry said today.
It said the rise was due to the unexpectedly large growth of the construction output which was up 4.6 per cent from October while the manufacturing output lowered 0.2 per cent month-on-month.
In western Germany, industrial output was up 0.5 per cent from October and rose 4.6 per cent year-on-year while in eastern Germany it increased 1.2 per cent month-on-month and 5.3 per cent year-on-year.
