German industrial output rose a seasonally adjusted 1.3 per cent in November from October and was up 1.1 per cent year-on-year when adjusted only for the number of working days, according data from the labour and economy ministry.
Economists polled forecast on average a month-on-month rise of 0.6 per cent. In October output rose a seasonally adjusted and revised 2.8 per cent, the ministry said; its preliminary estimate was for a rise of 2.4 per cent.
On a two-monthly basis, output rose a seasonally adjusted 3.5 per cent in October/November from August/September, and was up 1.3 per cent year-on-year when adjusted only for the number of working days.
