Pat Gillane (35), the Co Galway farmer jailed for soliciting two men to kill his wife, was disqualified from driving for four years at Ennis District Court yesterday.
Judge Albert O'Dea imposed the ban after Gillane's solicitor, Mr Colman Sherry, entered a guilty plea to one charge of dangerous driving and to one charge of driving with excess alcohol at Clarecastle on August 23rd last. Judge O'Dea, who also imposed a fine of £100, convicted Gillane on driving with excess alcohol, taking the dangerous driving charge into consideration.
