Girl (19) missing for over 9 weeks

Another family is suffering the agony of watching weeks go by with no trace of a missing loved one

Another family is suffering the agony of watching weeks go by with no trace of a missing loved one. It is now more than nine weeks since Ms Fiona Sinnott (19), of Lady's Island, Co Wexford, disappeared, and there is growing concern about her well-being.

Ms Sinnott was last seen on the night of February 8th with a group of friends at a local pub in Broadway, south Wexford.

A single mother, she had recently separated from her boyfriend and was living with her baby daughter, Emma, in the townland of Ballycushlane.

Concern for her safety increased when she failed to make contact with her family for Emma's first birthday earlier this month. Relatives believe she would not willingly have allowed Emma's birthday to pass unnoticed. She was also looking forward to the 21st birthday party of her sister, Diane, and that event has also passed without contact.

Local people and gardai have searched extensively in the area, and a Garda sub-aqua team has checked ponds and marl holes.

Family members have put up hundreds of posters with her photo throughout the county.

Gardai have had few leads to go on. And they appealed to a female telephone caller to Wexford Garda station a fortnight ago to contact them again (tel 05322333).

Meanwhile, gardai have circulated Ms Sinnott's photograph and description. She is 5ft 2in tall, weighs about 7st and is of slim build. She has brown eyes, a fresh complexion and shoulder-length auburn hair, and speaks with a a Wexford accent. She has a tattoo of a heart on her arm.
