Building materials group Grafton announced today it has acquired two plumbers' suppliers, Plumbline and Telfords, for a total of €40 million.
Scottish plumbers merchants Plumbline Supplies will be integrated into Grafton's plumbing network in Britain, which trades under the Plumbase brand. Plumbase will now have 135 branches in Britain.
Telfords has three branches in Ireland and is based in Portlaoise. The company holds a leading position in the midlands builders' merchanting market and has reported annual sales of €27 million.
