Responsibility for investigating the sale by the State of Glen Ding wood to Cement Roadstone Holdings (CRH) should be transferred from the Moriarty tribunal to the Flood tribunal, according to the Green Party.
The party's Dublin South East TD, Mr John Gormley, in a statement yesterday, said that Mr Justice Moriarty was precluded from investigating the sale because he had held shares in CRH.
"If the terms of reference of the Flood tribunal are not sufficiently broad to include the sale of Glen Ding wood, then the Government should consider amending the terms of reference so as to include the controversy surrounding the sale and any relevant matters relating to CRH."
