Islamabad - India and Pakistan accused each other of wrecking a chance for peace in the disputed Kashmir region after a frontline militant group said yesterday it was ending a 15-day ceasefire.
Hizbul Mujahideen leader, Mr Syed Salahuddin, told a news conference his militant group had called off a July 24th unilateral ceasefire and ordered its fighters back into action against Indian troops after India failed to agree to tripartite talks with Kashmiris and Pakistan.
As the governments of India and Pakistan accused each other of derailing the peace process, Indian Kashmir's police chief predicted the guerrillas were likely to unleash a wave of violence.
