Six Gulf states have pledged $400 million to help Iran after the earthquake that killed more than 25,000 people.
The money would come from an inter-Gulf development fund, the official news agency of Bahrain said.
The decision was made at an emergency meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, of finance and economy ministers from the Gulf Cooperation Council - Saudi Arabia, Kuwait , Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and the United Arab Emirates.
Most of these countries have already sent planeloads of aid to Iran.
