Detectives were today questioning a man and a woman after bombs, guns and drugs were seized in two separate raids in Dublin.
In one of the searches, at a house in Finglas in north Dublin, two pipe bombs, a shotgun and ammunition were recovered.
Gardai from the local drugs unit called Army bomb disposal experts in to deal with the explosive devices last night at the house in Barry Park.
Cocaine and cannabis believed to have a street value of €10,000 was also found. The drugs have been sent to the Garda Technical Bureau for forensic analysis.
A 22-year-old woman was arrested and is being held at Finglas Garda station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
In a separate operation, a sawn-off shotgun and a small amount of ammunition was seized during a raid at a house at Cappagh Avenue, Finglas.
A 34-year-old man arrested during the operation was also taken to Finglas Garda station. He is being held under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act.
