All 21 people on board a Haitian plane were killed last night when the aircraft crashed soon after take-off from the northern city of Cap-Haitien on a domestic flight.
Few details were immediately available on the crash of the Tropical Airways flight from Cap-Haitien, in the north of the Caribbean nation, west to Port-de-Paix.
Officials in Cap-Haitien said the plane crashed minutes after take-off and burst into flames. There were 19 passengers and two crew members on board.
Tropical Airways, a small domestic airline, flies two types of propeller planes on daily trips between big cities in the country of about eight million people.
