A SALE described as Ireland’s largest furniture auction will take place in Naas, Co Kildare, today.
The 2,100 lots have all been seized by the sheriff and have no basic reserve price.
They include leather reclining chairs which retail at up to €1,500 each, a large selection of inlaid writing desks, beds, more than 150 rugs and a luxurious dining table set, with recommended retail price of €2,800.
All items are new and will go under the hammer during a marathon nine-hour, two-ring auction.
The event, which starts at 10am, is to be held at Tougher Business Park in Naas by Ganly Craigie.
Managing director of Ganly Craigie, Robert Craigie, said there has already been huge interest from the public.
“There is great excitement about the sale and we expect a very good turnout from all over the country.
“With 2,100 lots, no reserve prices and two auction rings operating in conjunction, we expect that everything will sell on the day. It’s a brilliant opportunity to get anything and everything for your home, all in once place,” he added.
