The handover of MrSlobodan Milosevic wasdamaging to the stability of Yugoslavia, Russian Foreign MinisterIgor Ivanov claimed today.
It would be seized upon by separatists and could lead to the outbreak of a new war in the region, he said.
"This will without doubt play into the hands of separatists in Kosovo and Montenegro wanting to leave the (Yugoslav) federation," he said in a statement issued by his ministry.
"They will probably not pass up the chance to use the current situation. And if events develop in this way, it is not difficult to imagine what it could lead to."
