The Tánaiste will extoll the benefits of doing business in Ireland to British insurers in London today in the hope that more competition will further drive down premiums.
Ms Harney will outline the progress made in reforming the insurance market to representatives from around 33 companies at the Lloyds building in London's financial district.
Recent consumer price data showed that the cost of car insurance fell by a 14.5 per cent since June last year. A survey of motoring costs published by the Automobile Association shows an average 22 per cent fall in motor premiums over the previous 12 months.
Ms Hareny said talks with brokers would suggest there have been similar reductions in the range of at least 20 per cent to 25 per cent in the cost of employer's liability insurance.
"The success of our reforms and the interest those reforms have created in the Irish market are clearly underlined by the strong interest there has been in attending this afternoon's event in London.
"I hope that those attending who are not already part of the Irish market soon will be," the Tánaiste said.
