Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe found himself by chance in the company of the victorious Dublin minor football team on Sunday night.
The 23-year-old actor bumped into the celebrating team while standing alone on Grafton Street. They invited him back to a party at captain David Byrne’s home in Dundrum.
Photographs were published online of Radcliffe being bear-hugged by members of the team and lifting the Tom Markham Cup which the team won on Sunday, having beaten Meath in the All-Ireland final.
Though a multi-millionaire, Radcliffe had no money on him and the players had to pay for the taxi. He stayed in the house for an hour and a half.
“We had some craic,” centre half-back Conor Mulally said.
They had pay his taxi home too, because he was due on set at 8am. Radcliffe is currently filming The F Word in Dublin.
