Prague - The Czech President, Mr Vaclav Havel, underwent surgery yesterday to repair a hernia, a presidential spokesman said, adding that there were no complications.
"The President has been moved into his room . . . The operation was conducted with no complications. It lasted over two hours," Mr Havel's spokesman, Mr Ladislav Spacek, said.
