Courses: Many family carers forget to take care of themselves leading to dramatic consequences. Without proper support, carers can drive themselves too hard, they can become stressed, over anxious and physically ill.
Age Action Ireland is helping carers by running a series of practical support and training programmes to assist family carers of all ages who are caring for all ages. A training course will be held at St Michael's Hospital, Dún Laoghaire, Dublin starting on Thursday May 19th at 10.30am.
The course will run for two hours per week for eight weeks. They are held in partnership with the HSE. Further courses are planned for South Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare. The courses are free.
