Eat healthily to beat stress

Being overly stressed for long periods is a priority pass to poor health and generally feeling pretty awful.

Various strategies can help to reduce the impact of stress, like getting enough sleep and exercise. But could watching what you eat also help to address the situation?

The Stress Management Society deals offers information on its website, where it suggests foods and drinks that might trigger or worsen stress.

Everyone is different, so try cutting down on certain foods and drinks to see if it helps to manage stress and boost wellbeing. Caffeine, sugar and junk food are obvious ones to try and minimise, and instead bump up your intake of water, yoghurt, fruit and veg and sources of healthy fats such as fish.
