- A public lecture on cognitive behavioural therapy as used in the treatment of obsessive compulsive behaviour (OCD) takes place tomorrow at 7pm in St Patrick’s Hospital, Dublin.
- This is the first in the free lecture series on OCD. Support group meetings held in the hospital run three times a month. See ocdireland.org for further details.
- There is a free introductory class in the martial art Aikido on Thursday at 7.30pm in the Church of Ireland College of Education, 96 Upper Rathmines Road, Rathmines, Dublin. Aikikai Rathmines is a new voluntary, non-profit organisation whose instructors are black belts, affiliated to Aikido Headquarters, Tokyo, Japan. - World experts in retinal research will present the latest developments in Irish and global vision research at the annual meeting of charity Fighting Blindness at the Gresham Hotel, Dublin, on Saturday, October 1st.
