SONG TO REMEMBER:Families with a mother, father, sister or brother with Alzheimer's disease might find some comfort from listening to the song, One More Memory. Written from the perspective of a person with Alzheimer's disease, it captures the sadness, confusion and fear of the person but also the love that remains inside for those nearest and dearest.

Performed by Canadian singer Sara Westbrook, it was written in collaboration with a woman with Alzheimer's disease. See www.onemorememory. com for more details.

FOOD FOR FESTIVITIES:Keeping your energy levels up is especially important at this time of the year. Nutritionist Aveen Bannon recommends a carbohydrate-rich breakfast every day (unsweetened muesli or porridge), a nutritionally balanced lunch and a glass of water for every alcoholic drink taken at a party.

She also advises that people never go to a party feeling hungry and to make sure to get some fresh air. She says you should have vitamin-rich juices on the morning after a party.
