Mark Kenneally is a 17-year-old school student from Celbridge, Co Kildare. He had suffered from continuous colds and flu which led to breathlessness - a major problem, as he is a promising athlete. About a year ago he developed a serious bout of pneumonia, which cleared after treatment with antibiotics but left him weak and demoralised; he also continued to suffer from low-grade colds. The York Laboratory test showed Mark had one very serious food allergy and a minor reaction to two other foods. Within a week of avoiding those foods he felt better; his chest began to clear, his energy returned and he was able to train with an enthusiasm which had been missing for two years.
