Maxi, presenter of RTÉ Radio 1's Risin' Time tells Patricia Weston she has a terrific support system which helps her stay positive and have a laugh.

Do you exercise? Yes every morning after I've finished presenting and producing Risin' Time I work for one more hour in the studio and then drive home to take a walk around the area where I live. I love the early morning air, the feel of the city coming to life and the sounds and smells of the new morning. I find it very enriching.

How often do you exercise? As often as my diary dictates. Sometimes it's easy to get away and sometimes it's high heels and business suit time and the moment has passed.

Are you conscious of your appearance? Yes, every morning at four when I look in the mirror I wonder why it takes so long for my bones and blood to spring into shape.

Would you consider cosmetic surgery? Here's the thing. I've seen a lot of successful operations. They look fine for a long time and then Mother Nature and Father Time pitch in and I'm not so sure. I take nine Udo's oil capsules per day and my philosophy is simple; your body clock is going forward not backward, you are losing moisture, you put it back in, what's to understand.

Do you eat a balanced diet? Yes I eat plenty of fish, veg, and fruit and drink lots of water.

Every tried any faddy diets? No. I believe in listening to my body. If I'm hungry I eat, tired I rest, and thirsty I drink. Mother Nature is a clever lady she wins every time.

Do you get stressed? I believe you can only be stressed if you give permission to it. I believe in angels so if stuff goes against me, I ask "what is it you want me to learn from this", it's a sure-fire wrinkle-free way to embrace life's surprise turnings.

How do you like to unwind? Breaking bread with my good buds. I have a terrific support system. Wise, positive, clever, beautiful, and loyal people who nourish me every moment. There's nothing nicer than chatting with them over a meal, or if they are in another country on the phone. We always have laughter.

What's your attitude towards exercise? Make room for it.

Patricia Weston recommends:

Here's an energising morning workout to help you spring into action and set you up for the day.

Start in a standing position. Bend forward reaching your hands towards your toes and tuck your head in. Take a deep breath and straighten up slowly stretching your arms over your head as you breathe out. Repeat twice stretching your hands further towards your toes.

Standing straight step your right foot forward and turn your torso to the side. Raise your arms to shoulder level and bend your right knee forward, hold to stretch and then straighten. Repeat four times on both legs.

Again standing straight step your right foot forward and lower your left knee towards the floor. Hold to stretch and repeat on the opposite leg. Keep your hands on your hips for balance.

Standing, bend your right knee up to hip level, place your left hand on the knee and your right hand out to shoulder level behind you as you turn your torso to stretch out your upper body and achieve balance. Hold and repeat on opposite leg.

Stand with your feet together and bend your knees into a seated pose. Place your arms out to shoulder levels with your palms facing each other. Breathe in and straighten up swinging your arms as you breathe out sit back into the position again. Repeat four times.

End the workout with two more stretches as you did at the beginning.
