An unidentified helicopter crashed in southeastern Afghanistan today, reportedly causing casualties, but few other details were available, Western and Afghan officials said.
The helicopter had taken off from the southeastern province of Khost, where US-led coalition forces have a base, before crashing in a nearby province, Afghan officials said.
