The parents of Leanne Wolfe took part in a special Documentary on One, broadcast on RTÉ radio last Sunday. Below is a selection of Leanne's diary entries.
"I will write about my family. It won't be a long one. I have one sister and one brother, so I shouldn't be long. I'll start with my Mum. She's a really classy woman. Lately we are getting so close and I really enjoy it. Before, I used to think 'oh mother, get away from me', but now I'd be lost without her."
"My Dad. What can I say. I'm a Daddy's girl. He always gives in to me, which is great help. If I want to get a new pair of shoes or something like that, he's a real gent. I wouldn't trade him for anything."
"I didn't write in ages. Been a bit occupied. Had a horse-riding show today. Had to do a six-course jump. Wasn't too bad, except for the fact that I knocked over pole number two. Personally, I think it was the horse's fault. Anybody who was riding Grumpy knocked over a pole."
"Dear diary. I'm getting my hair done tonight. Not sure yet what I'm getting done. I think I am getting all-over brown with a small bit of redness going through it and blonde underneath, but I don't know yet. Gotta go, Leanne."
"Dear diary. Today is Paddy's Day. I went to the Savoy. Myself and "Mary One" had a huge fight and now her, "Mary Two" and "Mary Four" are after me. I thought we were getting closer. Don't think we'll be like that any more. I'm freaked out of my head. She's always fighting. I don't know what to do. They only use me. I don't need them telling me I'm fat. I don't know why the boys are getting involved. I even stay in at home over them and make myself sick. I will prove them wrong. Got to go. Love, Leanne."
"Dear diary. "Mary Two" came up to me Monday screaming and shouting. I was so scared. So sick of life. I never felt so depressed. I wish I had a new life. Say World War 2 was about to happen. I'm sick of it. I am so sick of her fighting with me."
"Dear diary. I went drinking last night. What a laugh. I'm getting too old to go drinking on the streets. It gets more boring each time. Me and "Mary Three" are at war. She says I'm a lick-ass. I just want to forget it. All I want is someone I can talk to about everything and love and love and love."
"Dear diary. Have been keeping to myself since "Mary One" hit me. Bitch. She has ruined my life. I kind of keep it to myself. I don't miss any of them. Better off without them. Better go. Leanne."
"There's gonna be war today. Me and "Mary Two". So I'm wearing a tracksuit today because I know they're going to be fighting with me. She's gonna fight me."
"The last few days have clearly been the worst for me. I met "Mary One" and she thumped me straight in the face. I have a big black eye. I'm mortified. I couldn't even hit her back, and everyone was laughing."
