The Translink bus, carrying a driver and five passengers, was hijacked by two men at around 7am in Glengormley, north of Belfast.

The driver was ordered to drive the bus to an Orange Order monument in the town. He drove the bus to the designated spot, where he called police after the passengers got off.

British army bomb experts were called to the scene to examine the device, and traffic was disrupted for a number of hours.
