Darryll Holland found himself in hot water with the stewards at Salisbury.
The jockey was called before the officials following his ride on the Eoghan O'Neill-trained Emmeranne in the Wadworth 6 X Fillies' Handicap.
Holland's mount was found to have caused interference at the two-furlong marker and he landed a five-day ban (August 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th) for irresponsible riding.
Emmeranne, who finished unplaced, was subsequently demoted to last.
It is not the first time the jockey has been in trouble this season - he picked up a 14-day ban for dropping his hands on Island House at Chester.
Stewards at Chepstow were also kept busy as Neil Callan and Sophie Mitchell both took the wrong course in the two-mile Daffodil Leisure Claiming Stakes.
Callan's mount Spirit Of Love eventually finished as runner-up but was disqualified, a fate which also befell Distant Storm.
Callan was hit with a 15-day suspension, while Mitchell landed a 10-day ban - both suspensions to run from August 5 onwards.
The race was awarded to the Richard Quinn-ridden Navarre Samson (9-2).
