A woman whose children were badly burnt in a suspected arson attack last month had to flee her Limerick home in the early hours of this morning.

Sheila Murray and her children escaped when a brick was thrown through the front door of their home at 1.15am.

A second brick was also thrown through a car windscreen outside her home.

Gardai have confirmed they are investigating an incident at the house in the Pineview Gardens area of Moyross.

Two of Ms Murray's eight children — six-year-old Millie and her four-year-old Gavin — are still being treated for extensive burns they suffered in a car blaze at the same address.

It is understood some sort of petrol bomb was thrown into the back of a vehicle while their mother was sitting in the driver's seat.

Two teenagers have been charged in relation to the offence.

Gardaí at Mayorstone Garda Station are appealing for witnesses to the latest attack.
