A work stoppage planned by Iarnród Éireann staff this morning has been averted following a breaktrhough at talks at the Labour Relations Commission yesterday.

Siptu said a number of minor issues remain to be resolved.
The dispute between the unions and Iarnród Éireann centres around changes to work practices.
