Mergermarket has ranked IBI Corporate Finance as the leading corporate finance adviser in 2005 following its involvement in 14 deals last year with a total value of over €1.7 billion.
2005 was a year of significant growth for IBI - in 2004 it had eight deals with a total value of approximately €435 million.
"2005 saw a significant level of M&A activity in the Irish market among both public and private companies and IBI was involved in a large proportion of those deals across a variety of sectors, including media, property and construction, and business and financial services," said Ted Webb, Director of IBI Corporate Finance.
"We are confident that we will continue to see high levels of activity in the next 12 months, among both public and private companies, with private equity funds continuing to be a significant driver of deal flow."
