The Irish Countrywomen's Association has welcomed a delegation of Chinese women who were in Ireland to mark International Women's Day. The women are from the All China Women's Federation and were invited by the ICA last year when they visited Chinese orphanages.
During their five day stay the women visited a nursing home for the elderly and the Cliffs of Moher and had a meeting in Tralee with the Tanaiste, Mr Spring. The group, which is in Ireland until tomorrow, will also meet the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ms Joan Burton and attend a reception hosted by the Chinese ambassador, Ms Fan Huijuan.
