The Irish Farmers' Association has put up a reward of £10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the death of a Co Clare farmer, Mr Patrick Skehan (68).

He was beaten and tied to the stairs by intruders in his home at Ardnataggle, Bridgetown, just before Easter. He never regained consciousness and died two weeks ago.

A bank account has been opened in Killaloe for anyone who wishes to contribute to the reward.

Gardai want anyone who saw two Nissan Sunny cars to contact them at (061) 376242.
