Irish firms have seen a boost in growth in the past three months, but many are still nervous about the future of the economy, a new survey has revealed.
According to the IIB Bank/Chartered Accountants Business Sentiment survey for Autumn 2007, one out of every two Irish firms have seen their activity increase in the last three months, while a third expect to increase employment.
Outside of construction and property sectors, only 4 per cent of firms are expect a major impact triggered by the housing slowdown. However, 42 per cent are fearing a hit from poor business and consumer sentiment.
