Men arrested over christening killing
LONDON - Three men were arrested last night in connection with the murder of a woman who was shot while cradling a baby at a christening on Saturday night.
The victim, in her 30s and originally from Sierra Leone, was enjoying a family celebration with 100 friends and relatives when she died. She was gunned down after a gang of men in hooded tops gate-crashed the party at a community hall on the Wood Dene Estate near Queens Road, Peckham, in south London.
A postmortem carried out yesterday concluded that she died from a single gun shot wound to the head. The child, who is not related to the woman, was unharmed in the attack. - (PA)
