Lynn will not give video-link evidence today
Fugitive solicitor Michael Lynn will not give evidence by video-link in the High Court today in a long-running action by a former client of his against First Active bank.
Mr Lynn (40), who faces immediate arrest if he returns to Ireland, had been due to give evidence from London via video-link today.
When the action was mentioned yesterday, there was no reference to Mr Lynn not giving evidence today but the court was told another witness would appear.
Guilty plea over building site death
A construction company faces sentence at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court arising out of a fatality at a building site near the city centre over three years ago.
Damien Fulton, Ridgewood Close, Swords, Co Dublin, pleaded guilty on behalf of Pierse Contracting Ltd to safety breaches at Gallery Quay, Pearse Street, in March 2005.
Edmund Christopher Meridith (24) was killed when he was struck by a falling object at the site. Sentence was adjourned to next March.
Man acquitted in sex abuse case
A south Dublin man has been found not guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court of eight counts of sexually assaulting his then 14-year- old stepdaughter between August 2002 and September 2003 at their family home.
Murder trial to open in Spain
The trial of a Dublin man accused of beating his partner to death, while on a family holiday over three years ago, will take place next week in Spain.
Paul Hickey (31), Darndale, Dublin, will be tried by a jury in Elche, Alicante, on charges of killing his partner, Celine Conroy, the mother of his three children.
