Nineteen people from the same family were killed today when their overcrowded jeep collided with a bus in northern India, police said.
"Seventeen people died on the spot and two died in hospital," a spokesman told reporters.
Three generations of a family returning from a temple were crammed into the jeep, designed to carry 10 people, when it crashed into the bus, he said.
Another four people suffered critical injuries in the accident, which occurred 35 km (22 miles) west of Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan state.
